Network Security
« Thread started on: May 23rd, 2009, 06:23am »

CEH refers to the concept of ethical hacking which is designed to benefit security officers, auditors, security professionals, site administrators, and professionals responsible for the integrity of the enterprise network infrastructure. The CEH Training program certifies individuals in the specific network security discipline of ethical hacking from a vendor. The CEH training is conducted in a highly immersive environment where the participants are guided through a process of scanning, testing, hacking, and securing their own systems.

The CEH training involves understanding how perimeter defenses work, followed by training on how to go about scanning and attacking their own networks without harming the real network. They then learn how intruders escalate privileges and what steps can be taken to secure a system. The other topics covered include Intrusion Detection, Policy Creation, Social Engineering, Open Source Intelligence, Incident Handling and Log Interpretation.

It has become increasingly important for the senior networking professionals and decision makers to understand each and every security aspect of a company to provide security solutions that are suitable for their company.
